A little about us
The Beechmont History
In 1884, the first Beechmont Hotel was built by W. H. Turner to serve the timber getters and bullock drivers in the Numinbah Valley. It became a hotspot at the corner of Numinbah Road and the Black Shoot. Fast forward to 1905, Ernest Bellis took over and gave it a new name - the Advancetown Hotel. The name stuck, and the surrounding settlement adopted it too.
But in 1924, Ernest sold the place.
Then, in 1933, disaster struck. A fire tore through the timber building, leaving nothing behind. But they didn't give up. By 1934, a brand new hotel stood in its place, ready to welcome guests. However, the story doesn't end there. In 1977, the Hinze Dam claimed the hotel, submerging it underwater. But fear not, a new Advancetown Hotel rose from the ashes, this time on higher ground near Nerang.
And now, it's 2023, and guess what? The Beechmont Hotel is back! We're bringing you country vibes with live music, thrilling rodeos, and mouthwatering pub food. We can't wait to bring a touch of country to the coast and make your experience unforgettable. So get ready to saddle up and join us for a trendy and unforgettable time at The Beechmont Hotel!
